How Do You Preserve a Three-Year Old?

This article was printed in the Z. Reed Millar Family Newsletter in March of 1982, when Natalie was 3 years old. I was taking care of my invalid parents and at the same time being a wife and mother to 6 kids. Natalie was such an even-tempered little girl and a comfort to her Grandma and Grandpa Millar. Grandpa had had a stroke and wasn't even tempered at all any more. She didn't seem to mind and would climb up on his lap and give him a great big hug. He loved it! I wrote this article in tribute and gratitude for her in easing my heavy responsibilities and also for being such a sweet daughter then and now. I republish it near October 10th because Grandpa Millar, Kellert Greenlaw, and Natalie Shepherd all share the same birthday that day! Happy Birthday to you all.
